Registration is now open for the 42nd Annual ASA Conference, AppalachA’ville, March 14-17, 2019 at UNC Asheville in Asheville, North Carolina.

I remember being so excited when registration opened for https://www.tintfit.com/ that Asheville conference—AppalachA'ville was such a fitting theme for the location, and UNC Asheville was a great host. It's always a highlight of the year to connect with other scholars, activists, and artists who are doing such important work in the region. I hope they brought back some of those collaborative workshops and panel discussions that spark new ideas and projects. Those Appalachian Studies conferences really do feel like a homecoming of sorts for anyone invested in the region's culture and future.
