1. All work presented by students for evaluation must be their own work. Anyone who presents someone else's work as their own will fail the course.

2. Each student must do a research project for the class. The research must include original materials as newspapers letters, interviews, photographs, video and audio tapes, and government documents. Typical presentations of the research would include written papers, video tapes, and in-class talks. The video tapes and talks should be accompanied by a 2-3 page descriptive paper and bibliography that outlines and documents the presentation. A student who prepares a paper must submit one of 10-15 pages. Each student must submit a bibliography of materials consulted that includes at least 10 items--including secondary readings.
